[0:00] Start -- At about 8:50 AM we start our board out motor coach for the transfer to the Hotel Meridien Montparnasse.

Pause and zoom in to see where our boat was docked. At the time this page was created, the satellite image shows two river boats docked at our starting point. Perhaps the satellite captured our own Viking Seine.

[1:15] Walking tour -- At about 11:00 AM, we took a walking tour from the hotel, down the Avenue du Maine to the Montparnasse tower. The observation deck there provided a view of the entire city of Paris. In spite of the slightly overcast conditions, I was able to capture that view in a group of spectacular photos.

To see the entire group, pause the Tour and click on the fuzzy sphere icons.

[7:45] Return to Hotel -- At about 12:30 PM, on the walk back to the hotel, we paused to look at a brightly painted carousel near the tower.
[8:28] Dinner -- At about 5:00 PM, we walked to one of the many nearby cafes for dinner.
[11:00] Seine Boat Ride -- We took a cab to the river just at the base of the Eiffel Tower to get on board the Seine boat ride. This is normally the climax of the River Cruise, but we chose to postpone it for one day due to the inclement weather.

Pause the tour and zoom in to see the many boats waiting for passengers. We started the tour at about 8:30 just a dusk was falling. I pushed my camera to its limits to get pictures from the moving boat in the declining daylight. We returned at about 10:00 PM to view the spectacular sight of the illuminated Eiffel Tower and the surrounding area.
