Kotor, Montenegro -- Interactive Map Traces Day 4 of PixTraveler's 2014 Mediterrain Cruise
This is the story of our visit to Montenegro anchoring off the city of Kotor. Those who were up and about at 6:00 AM were rewarded by the scenes of our passage into the long Bay of Kotor that protects Kotor. I was up by 7:00 AM and had not missed that much. The bay is a coastal inlet formed by the partial submergence of valley of the Bokelj River which used to run from the mountains behind Kotor. The photos attached to map were all taken from the ship on the approach to Kotor. We stayed aboard and enjoyed the beautiful scenery from our floating hotel.
Unfortunately, the battery in the GPS ran out as we approached the city so photos we took later are not attached. The ship retraced its route out of the bay and continued south heading for the Island of Corfu, Greece.
