On this beautiful day in September we left our home in Frederick and took the more scenic northern route up Rt. 15 and east on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Today our main purpose was to eat at the King George II Inn in Bristol, PA. We had found this inn in a list of the ten oldest continually operating restaurants. We stopped at our hotel, The Homewood Suites by Hilton in Doyleston, PA. We took a route to Bristol along the banks of the Delaware River. We passed through the charming town of New Hope and historic Washington Crossing. We were going to retrace our route the next day and see more. We arrived at the restaurant which is has a beautiful view of the Delaware river and the nearby park. The food and service were excellent and well worth the long trip.
