This trip began when we read about the ten oldest continually operating restaurants in the country. One of them was the King George II Inn in Bristol, PA. We were looking for a new place to visit and this sounded interesting This sounded like an interesting. We decided to make a two night, three day trip of it. We decided to stay at the The Homewood Suites by Hilton in Doyleston, PA which was at a central location. We found out that Bristol is located on the Delaware River just south of Washington Crossing where George Washington crossed the Delaware on the was to the victory at Trenton, NJ. On the way home, we stopped at the nearby Valley Forge Encampment .
